Where is Andrew Sullivan?

Andrew Sullivan, one of the most well-known bloggers and author of the Daily Dish, seems to be offline. His last post was at 1:48pm (Eastern time) and the Dish has been silent since then. Sullivan normally posts at least 20 times a day at a minimum, and if away or ill has guest bloggers running the blog. He also has a staff who helps him with the Dish, which is a massive task even then.

There has been perhaps some change of tone recently in Sullivan's blog, with a real focus on the pick of Sarah Palin and enquiring noises from Sullivan about her family. I don't feel this is undue pressure, as Palin happily paraded her family around at the convention and during her acceptance speech and there were some odd circumstances.

I hope Sullivan is alright.

I fear that something seriously bad has happened to the man. That 1:48 post yesterday was probably pre-scheduled to post. If he was alright, he would have made arrangements for others to post for him or at least make an announcement about his absence. He has interns and several other bloggers are available to fill in for him.

Rumor is he is fired or in 'intense meetings' with his bosses. Hopefully we will find out soon.....
